Namaska developed a challenge called 'Around the Planet for People Protection' to tie in with AXA's mission, international presence and environmental concerns.
The goal was for employees to walk or cycle at least 40,000 km – the circumference of the Earth – to increase awareness of health risk prevention. For each kilometre, the company pledged €1 to a local association (dedicated to risk research and awareness).
The challenge was a success from the very start. It has been continued and expanded, and now includes volunteer hours devoted to risk awareness activities.
Namaska assists AXA Group in organising the project and designing communication tools to reach its international employees.
Some 53 countries and 46,000 employees participated in the 2013 challenge, helping AXA take first place in the Interbrand rankings and obtain a Dow Jones Sustainibility Index score of 78/100.
